Alternating Current like 110 AC like you have in the U.S. or 220 AC like you have in Europe is easier to get off of (as long as you are not touching water at the time than almost any DC short you might be touching. Why?
Because of the pulsing of AC which goes one direction and then another it allows the body to more easily get off of a 110 AC shock as long as you aren't touching water at the time. If you are touching water even with an AC 110 Shock this is almost always fatal unless someone else unplugs whatever it is quick enough to save your life.
So, I'm thinking if you get grounded by the DC voltage on an Electric Car that might also be fatal because you might not be able to get off it because the voltage would be constant in one direction.
However, the voltages and safeguards on various electric Vehicles might be very different in each situation regarding all this. So, this might be a question you might want to ask when buying an electric vehicle.
