This is what my 2009 klr 650 still looks like now

I bought my bike new (I'm not selling mine this is someone else's) in 2009 and it has been a great bike. IT is a great freeway bike because you can cruise all day at 70 mph if you want to. Or you can ride the trails anywhere on earth. However, being a 650 it is a little heavy for jumping so I wouldn't recommend that. Also, since I'm 6 foot 5 inches tall I reinforced the front and rear springs so I don't bottom out. If you ride a bike like this it is very high compared to most motorcycles so when you first take off you have to think about what you are doing until you get up to 5 to 10 miles per hour because your weight is top heavy. But, it is built like this for driving over rocks and fallen trees and other obstacles over 4 wheel drive roads all over the earth too. So, this bike being a Dualsport is something that can be literally ridden around the world if your kidneys and organs can deal with that and if you are young enough to survive that and co-ordinated to do that and survive it.
I had watched "Long Way Round" with Ewan mcGregor and his friend riding around the world and was inspired by their journey. However, I never rode that far like they did because I was a little old for that kind of around the world ride being about 61 when I bought the bike. I had sold my last motorcycle in my late 40s and thought I was done with all that until I got a bursa in my right foot and felt sort of crippled up from the pain of my right heel being on fire every time I walked. So, I bought this motorcycle as a way to cope with this at the time. But, 2 or 3 years later my foot wasn't on fire because the nerves died in the bursa and they just became numb in that part of my foot from then on. So, though the reason I bought the bike was over I still liked riding the bike especially along the beach during sunsets near where I live on the northern California coast near SF. It has serious knobbie tires on the back and a slightly larger front wheel for riding off road but can cruise on a freeway at 70 mph if you wish too because it is a 650. So, as long as you aren't jumping this bike it likely is one of those amazing around the world  go anywhere kinds of bikes (a little too heavy for jumping) because you likely don't have as much control with a bike this heavy in the air unless you are a stunt man or stunt woman. I prefer jumping something about like a Honda 250 XL. I had one from 1975 until 1989 and that one I jumped about 8 feet above the bottom of the rear tire successfully. Make sure you can place a good landing so you survive jumping a motorcycle. Your feet have to be just right on the pegs when you land and you have to have a good hold of the handle bars so they don't come off your hands in the landing. You have to be standing on the pegs so you don't break your back on the seat when you land.
