For Baby Boomers it's important to understand the Psychological damage caused by World War II upon our generation

The damage inflicted upon the world by World War II was unimaginable. That any of us survived all this to me is a miracle in itself. I can remember how many of our parents, aunts and uncles and our compatriots who self destructed because of damage done to them by people too damaged to raise them properly.

The parents, friends and relatives of Baby Boomers were all incredibly psychologically and sometimes physically damaged by World War II and the Great Depression. The statement I remember my mother telling me about all this is was "Do what you can and the rest Can" which basically meant if you couldn't deal with something then just "Stuff it" which caused early deaths, insanity and psychological problems and cancer and worse for so many that we all knew growing up.

So, I think it is important to realize as baby boomers that we all survived something awful, our parents and their relatives and their friends who were incredibly messed up from living through World war II and the Great Depression and all that came before.

It's not that we shouldn't love and respect them for all they did for us and all the sacrifices they made for us. It's that if we are realistic about it all, it really was pretty "F**ked Up" to have to have lived through all that.

I for one am very very Grateful to still be alive and sane at age 71 after all that.

But I think Trump didn't survive the effects of world war II without going insane. He is one of the victims of World War II. That is how I would define Trump.

This is why I can pray for him despite the damage he has done to America.
