I had this experience during a Solar Flare. I was driving south to Santa Barbara from the San Francisco Area. I stopped to buy gas and my credit card wasn't accepted by the pump. I went inside and the man told me that all the card readers were down and he could only accept cash because the solar flare had blown out the whole system for his type of gas station all over California.
So, my habit of carrying a certain amount of cash allowed me to still buy gasoline and and some food and still make it to Santa Barbara. But, this is one reason to always carry a certain amount of cash because you are going to get stuck somewhere eventually like I would have if I didn't have cash on hand to buy gas and food so I could make it to Santa Barbara from Buellton, California.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
