we are in for it more than we presently know

If you move on the premise of "If it looks like a duck and it walks like a duck it's usually a duck" then the whole world especially the U.S. is especially in for it (at least in the short run).

If you have watched "Pandemic" movies often (like now) the general population isn't disciplined enough to prevent major mayhem. What is really surprising to me is how even southern California (even with a Democratic Governor) is the mess it is during covid. 

On the one hand I realize that places like Mexico and Brazil who have macho presidents in complete denial of how big a problem coronavirus actually is are making this worse than it needs to be. And possibly the best way to see how big a problem this is for California and the U.S. needs to be seen through the lens of Presidents in completely denial like Trump, the President of Mexico and the president of Brazil and how much damage these three presidents have done to the world in the short and long term by their ridiculous stances not based upon medical science at all.

If you have ever watched a Pandemic movie what usually happens is that once a pandemic gets as bad as the one we are presently in it then gets 10 or 100 times worse because people start to panic. So, that is where we are now which is Panic worldwide pretty much in all the "Free" democratic countries around the world.

Could it get 10 times worse than now? Yes. Could it get 100 times worse than now? Yes.

There is really no limit during a pandemic to how bad a pandemic can get when you are in a situation like we are presently in. This is a given scientifically during any pandemic where you are dealing with something as infectious as this thing is with new mutation coming up almost every week now worldwide to deal with more infectious than the last. 

There are presently at least 2 mutations that I know of the UK mutation and the South African Mutation. The UK mutation is already endemic in Colorado and in San Diego likely already. Since the UK mutation is already at least 60% of the known cases in London, within the next month it likely will be 60% of the cases in California and Colorado too. The fact that the UK mutation is 70% more contagious than the regular one is also horrific during these times too. The fact that there are ZERO ICU beds in Southern California or the San Joaquin Valley likely will also prove to be horrific for the whole nation to watch  as well in the coming weeks and months until at least April 2021.
