The weather except for the atmospheric river last week that dropped around 4 inches of rain where we live and 10 or 12 in places like Big Sur and cut Highway 1 is nice. But, we might still be in a drought because California generally speaking is at around 40% to 49% of normal rainfall so far this season. I think here at present we are at around 60% of normal but like I said most of the state is under 50% of normal so the fire season could easily start earlier this year if we don't get more rain pretty soon.
I think we expect a little more rain by a week from about next Thursday or Friday so I hope that pans out.
But, the weather is beautiful while people back east and in the midwest freeze. So, it can be said we are in sunny California but so far in a drought this year too.
