Life begins at 40?

I read a book out of the 1930s by this name at one point and even though it was dated by the time I read it it did say some things that were true.

The main premise of the book was: "If you have all your ducks in a row by 40 then life can begin at 40"

which is still a true statement.

However, what this means is that you own your own home usually and by then it is mostly or completely paid off and that you are able to retire by 65 or 70 if you wish to (not everyone is suited to working until they die or suited to retirement either for that matter).

Another thing I would add here is that you need full health insurance for you and any other members of your family by the time you are 40 o 45.

Why?

Because otherwise you could be driven into Bankruptcy by health problems of you or your significant other and this could take away your home and savings even if you had everything paid for before then.

So, by the time a person is 30 years old they usually need to be thinking about some of these things so they have a future after they are 40 and beyond.

To be perfectly honest with you I didn't really plan well myself but luckily God took care of me a lot starting in my 40s because he wanted me to be alive a long time I guess.

By God's Grace
