Writing online: some of the safety tips if you are going to do this:

First of all, who are you going to let read your stuff online? If it is worldwide like this blog format run by Google through blogspot (blogger.com) then you have to be very careful. For example, if this site was ONLY in the U.S. I could leave my comments section open likely. Though sometimes you get crazy people being really crazy or threatening if you have your comments open, most of the time you know they are on drugs or recently out of a mental institution or in prison doing this for entertainment to scare people.

So, I spent a lot of time filtering for content the first 5 to 10 years I had this blog. But then, I got things in other languages like Chinese or Japanese or other languages that I could not read. At first, I let these message comments stay UNTIL I realized this was mostly prostitution advertisements that had been left at my site as an undercover comment. I found this out when I started running other language comments through Google Translate which I would recommend if you have a blog site that is international like this one.

At this point it got so bad that I mostly stopped my comments page simply because I no longer had the time to deal with all the problems worldwide the comments created. When I got to 2,500,000 visits especially this was just too crazy to deal with for me anymore. At one point this site was getting 100,000 visits a month which is a lot of visits of any kind of person you could imagine and some you couldn't worldwide.

So, the point I'm making is you don't want to share the names of your children, exactly where you live and things like this. When I got to even 10,000 visits a month I realized I didn't want pictures of myself or my children or family at this site anymore because it could be dangerous to me or to my family.

Because I used to have a picture of myself here as a part of the blog taken in Wyoming when we were visiting there when my youngest daughter was about 10. But, she is now going to be 25 years old soon and doesn't live even in California anymore. only 2 of my children live in California and the other two presently live in Oregon even though 2 of my children have lived in Asia and in Europe a lot too in the past as adults.

The following is the first article I ever published here at this site in 2007:

I'm just experimenting with this new type of blogging experience. I have had my own website since 1999. However, this operates a little differently so I'll have to adapt to the way it functions.
I think I'm beginning to get the hang of it.

I was watching a news video and a young woman in her late 20's or early 30's mentioned that Blogger was a good place to start with a blog. Hers got to be popular and now has become a springboard for her business. Though I am a prolific writer I have never been published, primarily because though I love to write I hate to edit. Maybe if I was a starving writer I could get myself to edit.

However, what I tend to write is intuitive based and since I tend to be one of those writers that write from a very truthful place not everyone wants to read that kind of stuff. Besides, what is truthful to one person is just too painful to see or read about for another. Also, I like to write from both a scientifically truthful place combined with a humanitarian truthful place and sometimes a very spiritually real and truthful place all combined. Since most people these days seem to want to escape into TV or computer fantasy games and not deal with anything real I'm not always sure of the value of what I write for everyone.

However, for those who are intuitively gifted like myself and want to figure out how to develop those gifts in a way that benefits themselves and all beings in the universe what I write might be not only useful but life saving to a select few who can really process my unique viewpoint.

For example, this is the very first article I ever published here at this site. I had another site before this one and when I started this one I converted the old one to a paid site at Yahoo business called:

dragonofcompassion.com
