The Earth's innermost core is at the temperature of the Sun

The temperature at the inner core's surface is estimated to be approximately 5,700 K (5,430 °C; 9,800 °F), which is about the temperature at the surface of the Sun.[4]

So, as you can see here that Earth is sort of like a sun at it's core like our physical sun with layers of magma less hot and then on the surface of the earth there is a thin crust which is cooler except for places like Hawaii and others where the magma bursts through the surface in places like on the big Island of Hawaii where lava is entering the ocean and creating a bigger Hawaii most of the time now.

One of the problems of this constant volcanic eruption is what Hawaiians call Vog or specifically "Volcanic Fog or Smog". So, in Hawaii you might here on various island depending on the wind direction that day something like: "We have Vog Today!"

One of the reasons that nuclear weapons are problematic for survival of any life on earth is that if you broke away the crust with 3 nukes blown in a triangle you might break away enough of the crust to where water and magma would combine and slowly or quickly blow the planet apart because of all the water above the crust and all the magma (lava) below the crust if they ever came together in specific ways it would eventually destroy the planet in various ways by blowing atmosphere and rocks and dirt and water moisture off the planet to where the planet would eventually fall apart into pieces.

Think of the power of gigantic steam engines which is what you would create by combining the right amounts of magma and water in specific amounts would completely and quickly or slowly end planet earth for all time much like what happened to Maldek (now the asteroid belt out past Mars) 65 million years ago.

But, Also, on the Hawaiian Islands wind might blow in 360 degrees. So, only in one direction on most islands is it Voggy. But, when it happens you notice it and sometimes you get rock ash coming down like rain some places too. However, the particles are so small you only need a face mask to filter them out when this happens and this is mostly only true on the Big Island of Hawaii if you live near where the Magma comes out into the ocean.

Remember there are over 1500 miles from the southern tip of the big Island of Hawaii to the northern Tip of Kauai which is quite a distance.

This is longer than California is north to south which is only 800 miles in length from the  Mexico border to the Oregon border.
