The Stand in on Netflix is different than "The STand"

By accident we discovered "The STand in" on netflix last night and began to watch it. IT stars Drew Barrymore as a washed up actress who took too many drugs and who is trying to go a different direction in her life and also about her stand in (Stunt double) who wants to take her place if she will let her.  However, we couldn't figure out how this could end well half way through and stopped watching it for this reason. I told my wife I would watch the ending to see if it was worth watching. She said okay and went to sleep. I stayed up and watched the last 10 minutes and somehow they figured a way for this to end well after all. I told her we could watch rest of it tonight since it ends okay. They said it is number 7 in popularity this week on Netflix as a movie.

We are protective more of our psyches during this last year to keep ourselves cheered up enough to keep on going. Getting older is hard enough without watching stuff that just depresses you with problems you cannot solve in this era.

I also watched the first episode of "The Stand" recently and decided that during coronavirus this was just too much to watch humans get also wiped out by another flu virus like SARS 2 which is what coronavirus actually is. "The stand" is a newer series based upon a Stephen King Novel of 1978 I believe where it's post apocalyptic from most people dying of a flu sort of like now.
