It was 81 today in Mt. Shasta:

which is really early for a temperature that high. But, also because of Global Climate change they also expect three days of frost so my friends aren't going to plant many of their organic veggie startups until the frosts pass because they hope this is the end of the frosts this spring.

A little over a week ago I was also here before going up to Portland and it snowed 4 inches while I was here. So, as you can see the weather is all over the place. I was also in Bermuda Shorts today to stay cool. My wife likes it about 70 which is the way it gets where we live mostly (somewhere between 60 and 70 degree highs usually between now and maybe August or September when we might have a few days in the 80s but that's as hot as it usually gets on the coast where we live. There we have two winters, one in the winter and one in the summer or Mark Twain's famous saying: "The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco.
