It's easy to get caught in pre-vaccination ruts

I found that traveling was harder than it was before for me both physically and psychologically. I found that traveling 4 to 6 hours by car to a destination was much much easier than an 11 hour by car destination at my age for example. But, after I returned I found myself depressed and in some physical pain from the long trip of 2 weeks time. I realize I do much better when traveling only about 3 to 5 days to a week much better.

However, the change of scene is really important in stimulating your mind and keeping it active rather than staring at the same 4 walls (figure of speech) even though our house is a 3 bedroom 3 bath house (which feels pretty empty now all our kids are living in either Portland or Santa Barbara or San Diego).

So, when you return from your trip (however long it might be) you might find yourself pretty depressed and in danger of getting into old psychological and physical ruts.

But, you have to remind yourself that you still have at least 209 days from 15 days after your last vaccination to travel and do whatever you want to still before you have to think about getting a booster likely before next winters death toll hits from India and Brazil and other places from those variants.

So, it's important to take advantage of the time you still have immunity to most of the variants until next November or December (depending upon when you get your first shot).

I suppose one way to avoid getting coronavirus next winter would be to not get your shot until June or July of 2021 but that might also be risky given how bad the variants presently are in South America and India and spreading now throughout Asia.
