Hurricane Elsa Hits Florida as a Category 1 Hurricane: It's the first hurricane to hit western Florida this time of year since 1886

This is a rarity but maybe you have to compare it to the fires and Drought in some ways in California  and everywhere west of the Rockies to make any sense of it at all or to the freezing of people in Texas last winter which wasn't supposed to happen either. So, unusual things both in winter and summer and in all seasons in the U.S. we likely need to expect and be prepared for if possible so we don't die in some of these calamities when we don't expect them.

The Boy Scout Motto: "Be Prepared" comes to mind.
