Mostly, I would say that if the people who believe in God didn't believe in God they wouldn't be alive today.
This is the best way to put this.
However, believing in God if you aren't logical and rational and kind to yourself and others might be counterproductive to your survival and others.
Because without kindness towards all life in the universe believing in God might just be suicidal for some people worldwide.
When God came to me he said that: "The purpose of life is to love and to bless life" when I was a young man. This completely changed my life when God came to me and showed me this.
It was incredibly helpful and helped me understand Angels and God thousands of times better.
