I think it's still 50-50 whether Russia attacks Ukraine or not

 Why?

If Putin was serious about taking over Ukraine again he would have just done it. Now that all NATO nations are prepared for a Ukraine invasion and positioning Military units nearby Ukraine it wouldn't make sense for Putin to attack Ukraine now for a variety of reasons.

However, Leon Panetta was head of the CIA and Secretary of Defense under Bill Clinton I believe too.

The point of all this is that Leon Panetta who is a very astute fellow thinks we are in the most dangerous situation we have been in in this Century which is much more dangerous than 9-11 because we are having this standoff with a nation who has as many nuclear weapons as the U.S. and Nato nations have. This is why this is a dangerous situation because within 24 hours if things go awry most of the world's cultures could be gone if this goes out of control.

So, I see this problem as sort of like "The Cuban Missile Crisis" and we haven't had anything really as dangerous as that one until now.

The question becomes: "How pissed off are the people with their hands on nuclear triggers going to get?"

And remember nuclear triggers don't just exist in the U.S. and Russia but also in England, Germany, France, Israel, Pakistan, India, China etc. (in other words there might be some nations who have nuclear weapons on the sly who bought them from Pakistan or North Korea (who also has nuclear weapons as well as ballistic missiles that could reach as far as Hawaii or California too.

So, it isn't just the U.S. and Russia in all this: You have to also watch what China, England, Germany, France, Israel, Pakistan, India, North Korea etc. are going to do too. The whole world is a powder keg right now because of Covid for the last couple of years which makes this even more insane than it would be ordinarily.

So, you have to consider that a whole lot of  hopefully temporarily mentally ill people from dealing with Covid are involved in how this whole thing works out or whether the world just turns to dust in this.
