Peacemaker's father is a Super villian called "The White Dragon" which is a racist on the order of George Wallace and the KKK. So, even though Peacemaker is bisexual and has a good heart even though he kills people and says things like: "I love peace and don't care how many people I kill to create peace" and things like this. Peacemaker is not a racist but his father is and carries the pain of being raised by a racist.
But, the comedy of Peacemaker is that it is somewhat similar to Deadpool. However, they depict Peacemaker like many children who are survivors of racist parents. But, there is a lot of sadness around all this. But, without the humor around all this you sort of know that Peacemaker would likely have to kill himself or self destruct at some point.
I think a lot of people can relate to the pathetic nature of Peacemaker's life who were also raised by racists but who are not racists themselves which is why this series is so popular. IT helps people who were raised by racists face these difficult issues by seeing them portrayed in this way.
Also, if you have studied psychology racism is often tied directly into people's PTSD from war or soldiering or medical procedures that gave them PTSD to begin with. And PTSD often leads to suicidal or self destructive behavior if people don't get useful counseling in order to reparent themselves and to recreate themselves psychologically into someone that they can live with (themselves).
My advice to people overcoming something like this and finding a way to stay alive would be to develop
compassion for themselves and others.
Developing compassion for yourselves and others is the basis of civilization and the basis of a long and useful life too.
