Hopefully, you can read the time magazine article on the ocean because it is a good and useful one:

I subscribe to Time and so I started to read this article last night. We just got home a couple of night ago from a trip to Tahoe, Teton National park, Yellowstone National Park, Glacier National Park, Banff   and Lake Louise in Canada then back down in the U.S. through Idaho, Spokane, Washington, Port Townsend, Portland, Ashland and then Mt. Shasta for almost a week and then now home to the Greater SF Bay area in California once again. Our trip spanned around 5000 miles over 5 weeks and likely 70 to 80 hours of driving overall. We are very glad to be home but also very glad to have taken this trip as it is something I have been trying to do once again since the 1980s which is the last time I went to Tetons and Yellowstone and Banff and Lake Louise before when my older children were younger. Actually in the early 1980s we took then a 1976 VW Rabbit and took a 5 man tent for camping and I converted a surfboard rack with a piece of plywood and put the 5 man tent and unleaded gas cook stove on the converted surfboard rack on the roof then and traveled up as far as Banff, Lake Louise and Jasper National Park.

IN Jasper then we drank water that had been frozen for thousands of years then that was milky white colored. It seemed very very alive and powerful like revisiting Mammoths and things that lived thousands of years ago.

I likely wouldn't do this now because of melting and the amount of human and animal pollution because most glaciers are about 80% gone now since then.

Anyway, if you can read the time magazine article here by clicking on the word button in the previous article or reading it in your own copy of Time magazine that has a picture of a big wave on the cover I hope you can benefit from reading these amazing facts regarding our oceans right now.

Here's more on Jasper National Park in Canada. We were just too tired by the time we got to Lake Louise to consider going any further north. After all, I'm 74 and my wife is almost 67 at this point. However, it still was a really amazing trip and who knows if I will ever be able to do it again because I'm getting older now? So, it was one for the "Bucket List" that we accomplished and so we are very proud of ourselves that we not only did it but survived all the adventures.

The couple we traveled with likely got BA5 Omicron called the Houdini Variant in Spokane or Yakima and one of them is still recovering. I got 20 stitches in my left shin from a boating accident on Jenny Lake in Teton National park. I had the stitches taken out in a Canadian Medical Clinic in Banff. They were put in in a hospital in Jackson, Wyoming. Wyoming only has 500,000 people living there year around which is sort of amazing when you think about it!

However, what is an adventure? It's a difficult experience well handled and well managed which is what this was. However, I'm also glad to be home after this wonderful adventure too here on the ocean in Northern California.

What I find most important about it is realizing I and my wife can still do stuff like this even after two lost years of Covid for the world. It psychologically at least added another 20 years to our lives! Because we know we can still do stuff like this and survive it!

Here's some stuff on Jasper!

By the way you cannot go into Canada at all this summer (until whenever) unless you have at least 2 covid vaccinations. So, you have to prove to them that you are vaccinated online before you go across the border into Canada. And it doesn't matter whether you are driving in or flying in or whatever. You still have to prove to them you are vaccinated BEFORE you go there or else you likely will be very disappointed.
