One of the best places to write I find is while sitting in a hot tub outside. However, it's important to put your arms outside the tub to do this otherwise your laptop might fall in the water of the hot tub. I have a teakwood outside coffee table for this purpose which works great. It used to be a Shower stool when my wife got a knee replacement around 8 years ago or so. But, writing often goes smoother if your muscles don't hurt from one thing or another when you are outside in the back yard on the deck looking at big trees and roses. Peaceful.

From this state often good things can be written. Sometimes I have even taken a cell phone out in the rain in the hot tub while wearing a waterproof hat.  I put the smartphone in a plastic zip lock bag so it wouldn't get wet in the rain but the touchscreen still works pretty good through the zip lock baggie. 

I have also lost a few cell phones over the years even when it wasn't raining by dropping them in the hot tub  by accident or one time I forgot my cell phone and ran it through the wash in my blue jeans. if your cell phone isn't waterproof it isn't going to survive hot water. It might survive Cold water for a little bit in the washing machine but it won't survive hot water unless it is designed to be waterproof.

I'm not sure about this but recently I was taking a picture and the sand at the ocean because it was wet from waves gave out under me and I went down being focused on taking a picture instead of my balance. But, since I have an Iphone 11 that is waterproof down to 9 feet for around 1/2 an hour it was okay after that except after being about 3 inches under sea water for a few minutes,  

The speaker gurgled a little when I first talked to someone on the phone but soon it was as good as new with no problems since then.

What I wasn't sure about is if the Iphone 12 through the 14 and beyond are waterproof too to 9 feet and okay for 1/2 hour or so before water gets into them. But, definitely this is true of the Iphone 11 I presently own.

Another lovely feature about the Iphone 14 and likely after is that it has an emergency 911 Satellite phone hookup for emergencies. So, people lost or crashed in their cars in the wilderness or out in the middle of the ocean somewhere are often found and rescued now because of this feature which doesn't need a microwave tower for an emergency Satellite 911 call from anywhere on earth.
