There are both historical Truths and Religious Fictions around the world

So, in the end "What do you believe is true?" might be the question we are all asking worldwide on a daily basis.

But, what I have found in life is that "Truth is almost always stranger than Fiction".

In other words: "look at your own life and the lives around you. How much of what you experienced actually made any logical sense to you at all?"

So, when we try to apply logic to other times and experiences we often fail.

For example, young people who say they are "Woke" often try to apply today's more liberal mores and rules to everyone down through history.

This is both extreme folly and ignorance Talking in young people like this. For example, Bridgerton the Streaming series has nothing at all to do with what really happened in that period of time. The way people behave both racially and culturally has no bearing really at all on the truth of those times. However, the dress they wear and stuff like that likely is valid.

However, when you twist the truth of any period of time you will suffer in some ways for it, even if it is just in being a really ignorant dufus of a person and that's all.

So, writing  about the past, like it was fiction doesn't really help any of us make any more sense of it than it makes now even in studying history which tells you more about what people actually thought and did during those times.

And even HISTORY is literally "HIS STORY" likely after a battle which is debatable too because of the psychotic nature of warfare always. So, whatever people say may not be sane during or right after a war, for example, because they all have serious PTSD to figure out how to deal with or they wind up killing themselves or vicariously dead from some method (themselves or others).

So, finding out the truth about anyone in history is at best always debatable for all these reasons and more. However, when you try to apply today's more liberal values to other times you are going to fail 100% of the time.

Not realizing this is pure ignorance and folly.

For example, I'm very sensitive about people not understand the 1960s and 1970s because I was 21 in 1969 during the viet nam War. So, unless you experienced just how horrific and awful it was to watch your friends from high school either die in that war or come home crazy PTSD and then shoot their families or themselves from the PTSD you really cannot know just how awful those times were for the United States.

And it was even worse in it's own way when millions of soldiers came home from World War II. As a child you needed to run away from many PTSD ex-soldiers because they might kill you if you said or did the wrong thing. (whatever that means). I think this is why after World war II people stopped allowing other adults to discipline their children by beating them. because many children died from beatings from strangers when I was growing up.

So, unless you understand all these things about the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s as well as everything else you really have no idea what the world was like then.
