I was raised to believe that the Shakespearean Plays were actually penned by Francis Bacon who was the illegitimate son of Queen Elizabeth I of England. HE (according to my parents belief system) became an ascended Master in 1684 like Jesus according to their belief system.
He was also the Father of the Scientific Method.
The Scientific Method breaks everything down into Hypotheses, Theories and Laws.
I have found that the most successful and efficient way to approach life is to categorize all experiences, physical, mental, emotional and spiritual into hypotheses, theories and laws.
In this way I have found that I don't really discard anything people say about anything but instead put that information in the category of hypotheses. In other words, this is some person's idea of what could be true about something.
The next level up is Theories. Theories have enough evidence that these things are very very likely all true. But, you cannot still be 100% sure about Theories because they have not yet but completely proven to be true all the time.
Then there are Laws. Laws you are 100% sure or almost 100% sure that these things are laws of the universe and so you can pretty much always bank upon laws for always being true.
So, I wound up after all these years with thousands and thousands of hypotheses, and a few thousand ore more Theories, and very few laws indeed.
However, I have found that using the scientific method upon everything physical, mental, emotional or spiritual is the key to longevity and a wonderful long life.
