So, for me, this causes me to think differently than I used to think about regarding all the moons of the Solar system. That a moon that far from the sun could still have volcanoes that are erupting changes the whole way I view the science of the Solar System regarding moons.
How much more do we need to know about our solar system than we already know in order to more safely travel through it without dying en masse?
For example, if you take a flight on a Spacex or Blue Origen or Branson's Virgin Galactic you are going to be sterilized for life in other words whether you are male or female the cosmic rays will render you infertile for life. (you cannot have any more babies 'male or female' if you fly into space).
How many people other than astronauts know about facts like this? Astronauts needed to be told always because often they were younger men when we started sending men into space. Then we also sent women into space too and they were made infertile too.
But, how many of you knew that about all astronauts that they have to sacrifice ever having a child with their dna ever again in order to go into Space?
It sort of reminds me in some ways of Soldiers going into battle and how they often have to face PTSD too.
In World War II they didn't really understand it very well yet and just called it "Battle Fatigue" and as a direct result many men and women died in droves (Hundreds and thousands) died of "Battle Fatigue" untreated and very confused about what was happening to them.
