As the oceans warm they are like storage batteries of heat. The air and the ground do not hold heat very well especially overnights.
So, as the oceans warm they also create warmer air in the process. As the oceans warm they evaporate more because the temperature of the water is closer to the temperature needed for evaporation to occur. Then the air because it is hotter from the ocean battery can then hold Exponentially more water so when water comes down in the form of rain it will tend not to be gentle rain because of the much bigger more tropical sizes of raindrops. These larger raindrops can help to kill or flood many farmlands around the world which have been created on the premise of lighter rains which help grow crops.
So, likely more and more people will be forced to either grow crops underground (to protect from winds over 100 mph or in Greenhouses to get more sun and controlled water through hydroponics and other methods.
However, the old fashioned ways of growing just with light rain wetting the plants tends to be ending worldwide for now until Global warming turns into something else eventually.
It's likely that a whole different set of plants more suited to warmer weather and larger raindrops and flooding will emerge from all this in the wilds from now on too.
My thought is that tropical plants (maybe like you might find in places like Hawaii) will slowly move into more areas because these more tropical plants are already suited to bigger raindrops to begin with.
Regarding droughts: As weather patterns change from global warming everything literally is changing including where droughts will occur on any given day or year. So, some places will flood more and other places will drought more that didn't do this before. EVerything is drastically changing now around the world weatherwise.
