I write most of the time to heal myself. One of the ways I heal myself is to figure out how I think and feel about things within me and around me. Many people try to escape doing this but I find it best to face things head on. I noticed in my 20s that when I tried to escape things that molehills often became mountains. So, this taught me to face life head on in the moment and not put things off that should be done now before they become real problems.
I was talking with my daughter today and she was studying about how blue collar people survive often by "NOT discussing their problems at all". This is because they are so busy trying to make a living that they have no time to solve their problems at all. So, often in relationships nothing really important is discussed at all.
Whereas Middle and upper class people often discuss everything with each other (couples) and because of this they can HEAL their relationships and often these relationships can go into people's 70s, 80s, 90s and some into their 100s.
So, thinking about what you are feeling and thinking allows you to create your life into something that is worth living for. Not taking the time to discuss with your significant other might end your relationship.
However, if all you can afford to do is to work then possibly not talking about anything important also might keep you together too if you have a blue collar life.
But, I find that most people are educated enough to be in some ways BEYOND Class.
I started out Blue Collar because my father was an electrician and then an Electrical Contractor so I was exposed to tradesmen a lot like Electricians, Carpenters, Plumbers etc. whenever we wired homes or businesses a lot. I found I liked tradesmen then mostly because I always knew where I stood with them. It wasn't like working in an office when people often metaphorically stab you in the back.
In the 1950s and 1960s if you weren't a man or boy of your word working in construction then you could expect nothing less than a knuckle sandwich. In other words if you didn't do what you said you likely would be punched in the face by another tradesman.
