Trump claimed on social media Friday that he had nearly $500 million in cash that he had planned to use toward his 2024 presidential campaign. The former president, however, hasn’t used his own money toward his presidential campaigns since 2016.

This actually makes sense. Why would he use his own money if he can get supporters to use up their own money. Also, if donations are under 10,000 dollars and since 60% of Trumps voters make less than 50,000 dollars a year even if they donate to a PAC their money is going to go to Trump and not the Republican Party or other Republican Candidates. This is how his PACs are set up too.
