Supersized Cruise Ships are an Accident Waiting to Happen. Why?

Because they tend to be too tall and top heavy as ships. Therefore they cannot weather hurricanes or other storms basically at all without turning over (capsizing). And now imagine thousands of people or even 1000 people in an upside down cruise ship. Would it sink? That's unknown. But, if you ever saw "The Poseidan Adventure this is one possible outcome.

How could something like this happen?

If the engines failed or the electrical system failed this could happen because they couldn't either power the ship or steer the ship. If they couldn't get large enough tug boats there fast enough to move the ship to a safer harbor or something then likely in a full hurricane the Supersized Cruise ship would capsize from a storm because they are NOT built to weather large storms.

For example, my wife took a Seabourne Cruise to Antarctica in 2016 and that ship had gyros to stabilize the ship as well as being designed for 50 foot seas and they saw 30 foot seas where 60 to 70 percent of the passengers and crew were throwing up between Cape Horn and Antarctica. And even my wife with a cast iron stomach and her friend the same were being thrown down a hall trying to get to one of the restaurants as the whole ship pitched and rolled between Cape Horn and Antarctica.

A Supersized Cruise ship is not designed to survive even a Caribbean Hurricane let alone 30 foot seas. It would either swamp or Capsize or both and how many people would survive this?

They are more like Floating cities than cruise ships. They are NOT designed for Hurricanes.
