The physical universe operates independently of human awareness.

I think this is a really great title because it covers a whole lot of ground. In other words "NO MATTER WHAT YOU AND I THINK THE UNIVERSE IS DOING WHATEVER IT'S DOING."

WE DON'T NEED TO BE AWARE OF IT FOR IT TO HAPPEN. IT HAPPENS INDEPENDENTLY OF ANY HUMAN AWARENESS ANYWHERE.

REPEAT OF AI QUOTE IN PREVIOUS ARTICLE:

  • The Verdict: The physical universe operates independently of human awareness. The wood is broken, the ground is dented, and the air waves were created. [1, 2, 3]
The Perceptual Debate (Philosophy)
  • Subjective Idealism: 18th-century philosopher George Berkeley argued that objects and events only exist insofar as they are perceived by a mind. By that strict definition, an unperceived event lacks full experiential reality. [1, 2, 3]
  • Definition of Terms: Just like the debate over whether an unheard fall makes a "sound" (vibrations vs. auditory processing in a brain), asking if it "happened" depends on whether you define reality as what objectively occurs or what is consciously experienced. [1, 2]
Would you like to explore how quantum mechanics (like the observer effect) applies to this philosophical question, or look at how different schools of philosophy handle objective reality?
