The Golden Dragon

There are legends about Dragons in both Europe and Asia. However, in Asia Dragons are not necessarily the enemy to be fought but rather can incarnate into human forms as the leaders of countries or as spiritual leaders or even as Generals of Armies.

The Golden Dragon is often seen this way as a Great Leader who likely cannot be defeated because they are supernatural and sent from a Creator source of some kind to create order here on earth.

The White Dragon often is a symbol of long life and of spiritual power and changing the world philosophically whereas the Golden Dragon is more about setting up governments and order out of chaos to reduce unnecessary deaths in the short and long run and to create Cultures that can survive thousands of years or more.

My experience of Becoming a Golden Dragon breathing fire upon thousands of people came quite by accident (from my point of view).

It was 1983 and I was doing a 4 day (96 hour vision quest) of no water and no food and I had been studying with a Medicine man who taught Lakota Sioux medicine for at least 1 year before this. He had a sweat (in a sweat lodge) to start off my vision quest and another sweat when I came off my vision quest 4 days later.

About 2 days into this vision quest that night I began to have visions and this likely was the most powerful (in it's own way) of them all where I literally became a golden dragon bigger than a house or building and breathed golden fire upon everyone. At the time I was terrified this would burn people up but instead the fire only made them smile and become enlightened. This changed me a lot in my life after this.

There is something about praying for 4 days and nights for visions from God to show you what to do in your life that is extremely powerful in a way I had never experienced before in my life.

When you begin the vision quest you move into a completely different set of senses much more refined that one experiences in a city. (I was 4 to 5 miles from the nearest human beings doing this vision quest on the South Fork of the Trinity River by the way in Northern California in a bear wallow.

So, some of the experiences are very altered from any normal perceptions of things (at least for people who live most of the time in a city or in suburbia). For example, I was having problems with two hornets who wanted to go up my nose for several hours the first two days time. Finally, I realized I had to let them clean out my nostrils to have them go away. This worked. But, I telepathed with them and told them if they stung me I would kill them. So, they honored our agreement and just cleaned the dust and stuff out of my nostrils and I honored my end of things and didn't kill them when they just climbed up my nostrils and cleaned them out for me. It was a mutually beneficial experience.

I had no more problems with them after this. But, in a normal state of mind this would have never happened. So, if I hadn't been fasting on a vision quest I wouldn't have been so tuned into nature and the forest and all the forest creatures to the point where I was one of them for 96 hours and I experienced whatever they experienced including deer passing my vision quest site and bald eagles and wood ducks etc. in a very deep way as well as experiencing all the trees and plants and river in a very deep and special way as well.

So, these 96 hours of prayer and fasting permanently changed my life and released most fears from my life in a more permanent way.

Why?

Because I realized I could not eat for 4 days or drink water for 4 days and still be just fine (among many many other things).

This experience might terrify some people but for me it just empowered me in a way I cannot even begin to explain to anyone who hasn't experienced this themselves.

The Golden Dragon

When do reality and dreams intertwine into the same thing?

During a Vision quest of no water and no food for 96 hours straight.

However, how many people are actually going to do something like this in their lives?

I suppose it is up to those who choose to do this.

My time came in the summer of 1983 I believe 4 miles from the nearest human being at that time.
And two days after I had had no water or food while my mind screamed that I was going to die doing this I had my first visions.

There are two visions that were incredibly powerful. The one that made the most sense to me was of me becoming a huge golden Dragon breathing fire upon everyone. At the time it was completely terrifying to experience this. But, then I realized that people were not catching fire and burning up screaming they were smiling and becoming enlightened instead from the fire I breathed upon them as a golden Dragon.  This vision within 2 years led to my family and I going to visit Tibetan Lamas starting with the Dalai Lama in Bodhgaya, India. we spent 4 months time in Japan, Thailand, India and Nepal on this journey and went to Bodhgaya for the Kalachakra Tantra with the Dalai Lama and to Dharmshala where the Dalai Lama lives and also to Rewalsar (several hours by bus from Dharamshala, India) which is also called TSOPEMA by the Tibetans in Dharamshala and throughout India and Nepal and Tibet.

1983 is now about 36 years ago. For example, I have an adopted daughter and she and her husband were not born until 1985. So, this is a long time ago now even for me let alone others born since then.

But, some things are just so profound that happen to you that they become timeless in your life and larger than life and you don't want to forget them because they define your reality in a really profound way.

The Golden Dragon

This was one of the most profound experiences of my life. It would be difficult for most of you to actually fathom how deep this affected the rest of my life.

I had been studying with more than one medicine man for three years time with my wife and children and my friend and his girlfriend. In 1983 I would have been 35 years of age and still had my health so I could do this sort of thing. The idea was to not eat food or any water at all. (not put anything but air into your body for 96 hours or 4  24 hour days. My friend's girlfriend had already done this and I had just been shown to do the same. All four of us eventually did this within a year of this date in 1983 by the way.

I can only tell you about my experience I realize because each of you might have a different experience completely. But, I was asking what to do with my life from God other than be a Dad and run businesses. So, this was a vision quest about what the meaning of my life was actually about.

So, the first two days in a bear wallow on the south fork of the trinity river it was difficult because my brain kept saying things like: "You are out here in the wilderness with no phone or 911 and if you screw this up you are going to die. You are going to starve. This isn't going to work. But I persevered even with my mind going ape shit through all of it because it was the right thing to do in the right timing. So, I did it anyway through self discipline. The point is to pray without ceasing for 4 days whenever you are awake and not asleep or having visions from not eating or drinking anything at all.

I would not recommend this for everyone simply because I don't know your mental and physical and emotional state going into this. Each person would have to decide for themselves whether this would be useful or whether they were likely to survive something like this instead of taking your visions seriously enough to run screaming through the forest until they were impaled by a tree branch sticking out in the dark or hitting their head in the dark on a tree or rock or falling off a cliff.

So, you really have to be an adult to pull this off to begin with and feel comfortable in the wilderness like I did then for this to be useful.

So, about 2 days in of no water or food or anything I started to have the visions. Now these kinds of prayer visions are different in that your experience of them is as real as me typing this or you reading this. It is not like having a dream at night where you might not be fully involved or invested. You are really experiencing this and to your subconscious mind and even to your conscious mind this is as real or even more real than physical reality.

So, when I became a huge Golden Dragon much bigger than most houses I was at once Amazed, Terrified, overwhelmed and in a completely different vision reality. And I knew at the time that this was one of the visions I had been praying for. And Yet, because my path is as a soul traveler I could separate my visions from what my physical body should be doing which was staying still. These really powerful dreams happen at night mostly so you can have your eyes wide open if you wish and they still will take place in the pitch dark of the wilderness or clouds or even in moonlight. In the vision I was really a huge Golden Dragon bigger than a house. But then, I breathed fire out onto thousands and thousands of people but they didn't catch fire and burn up. Instead they smiled and became enlightened, which was really surprising to me at the time.

So, one way I equate this vision years ago now is when I blog at this and previous websites and also at dragonofcompassion.com which in some ways is named after this vision in 1983. In other words I see the vision as being prophetic of the future which it has been. When the vision quest was over later that year I started meeting Tibetan Lamas in California and ORegon and by 1985 I went to India and Nepal with my family and met even more Tibetan Lamas, especially in Bodhgaya during the Kalachakra Tantra given to 500,000 people from all over the world and in Dharamshala
where the Dalai Lama and around 10,000 Tibetan Refugees lived then in 1986 when I visited there after the Kalachakra in Bodhgaya.
