It doesn't matter whether you are writing about the past, the present or the future, often you are writing about a lifetime that you actually have lived before the present one. For example, I cannot tell you When Star Wars or Star Trek movies or series stories actually happened (past, present or future?) but you know these are true to some degree simply because of their popularity. in other words we remember these experiences and being involved in these stories or hearing them before and so we are attracted to them. This makes complete sense.
But, it is also true that writers write about that which is meaningful to them. What would be more meaningful than writing about something you didn't get to fully work out when you were involved in this in actuality?
So, many of these stories are an attempt to make sense of what didn't fully make sense to them when they experienced it the first time in reality in another incarnation than this one. But, most writers don't realize they are working out past life issues in past, present or future lives that they have already lived.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
