My wife introduced me to her new term which is Social Economics. When she first discussed this with me I had no idea at all what she was talking about. But, now I see what she was getting at.
Yes. Religion is primarily about making money. So, if you are enslaved psychologically to any religion you are likely also enslaved monetarily to that religion as well. This is just common sense worldwide (no matter what religion it is).
However, looking at religion as the creator of all or most governments and armies on earth, this might be useful as well.
Even Communism must be viewed as a religion in this context. But, you replace God with the State in this case. So, religion then becomes "Whatever enslaves the people" which is either religions turning into governments and armies OR it's Governments turning into religions where the Government IS the religion that everyone is sacrificed to.
I think viewing the world in this way, one can better see who is enslaved to what. Then people can figure out for themselves what is useful to them and what is not.
For many, this is too advanced a way of thinking. But, I think if you actually want to survive your life both physically and psychologically, you have to begin asking these questions in your teens or early 20s to even survive until 30 with your head on straight. Otherwise, you are psychologically addicted to either your religion or your government or both and you become incapable of independent critical thinking about anything.
By the Way, Critical Thinking just means you are not thinking like a Slave to your religion or government and can actually think for yourself.
IF you are an adult and anyone says "OBEY!" to you, you have to question their motivations and question yourself if you listen to them in any way whatsoever.
Are you a master of your own destiny or are you a slave?
This might be a good question about now.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
