Milo and Otis (1986)

I watched this with my kids in 1986. Found out tonight that 4 cats died in the making of the film which happened a lot in the old days when animal films were made. Not so much these days because of PETA though (at least in the U.S). My wife wanted to watch this movie tonight but she doesn't know about the 4 cats that died. I actually want her to enjoy the movie so I likely won't say anything. I remember it was something special that I shared with my older kids in 1986 because my younger two daughters weren't born yet. It is about a Cat and a Dog and their adventures together.

It's actually a very sweet movie. But as you are watching this just think of how endangered all cats and dogs were making this movie. It will make you wince like attacking bears and seagulls and a fox and stuff like that and just drowning going over waterfalls and pigs and stuff like that. But for little kids who haven't been around like you and me it might be a delight. And educational too.
