Alan Simson: Sober Up or Sleep in the Streets

Alan Simson and Erskin Bowles of the Debt Commision founded by the President were speaking on NBC Nightly News on TV with Brian Williams. When asked by Brian Williams the message Alan Simpson had for the American People. His quote was "Sober up or sleep in the Streets" as to what will happen over the next 10 years or so if the U.S. Deficits aren't addressed now.

The real problem is that neither the Republicans or Democrats likely with this Congress can do much of anything. So, my point of view is that it will be a miracle with the present Gridlocked Congress to not go into a full on 2nd Great Depression or at least a copy of Japan's Deflationary spiral(same thing) within the next 5 years given all the variables in place now.

If Obama had just been re-elected right now and he could do what is right for the American people and not worry at all about being re-elected and had a Democratic Congress it might be different. But with the hand we are all dealt it's hard for me to see how another Great Depression or Great Deflation(same thing) doesn't happen. So, it is my hope that a way forward to end the deficits can be found without further bankrupting our country and putting almost all the middle class and poor out of their homes and into the streets. Because if that happens we would just be another banana republic and I don't think the world could survive that. Because human rights might not exist anywhere on earth at that point. So, it is up to every person in the U.S. and around the world to help save not only the U.S. but human rights worldwide by doing the best they can worldwide right now.
