Midnight in Paris: Woody Allen's masterpiece of a movie

With $50 million already in ticket sales for a Woody Allen movie already on this one you have to know that the normally eccentric Woody Allen must have created yet another masterpiece to add to his collection of Annie Hall and all the other eccentric artistic comedic masterpieces he has done over the years. Actors rush to work with the long time master still who usually still puts out at least one low budget comedy a year. Don't read anymore if you want to be surprised when you see this movie!

However, this one is really firing on all cylinders and functions as a masterpiece of romantic comedy set in the 1890s, 1920s and present day Paris. Owen Wilson plays a somewhat naive writer of successful Hollywood movies. His wife to be and her parents are with him on a visit to Paris present day. His greatest dream is to be with the artistic and literary greats of the 1920s in Paris like Steinbeck, F. Scott Fitzgerald and Gertrude Stein and others and to live in Paris. He gets his wish but it becomes something different than he expected it to be and here's where the fun begins and never ends. The experience of romantic Paris down through time and of all the artists and writers inspired by Paris comes through in this movie. So if you love Paris or love the artists and writers of the 1920 or love the artists of the 1890s of Paris you just might love this movie as they come to life once again. A Woody Allen Cult movie of the past here in the present and future!
