What If?

My wife was listening to all the info today and yesterday about Malaysian flight 370. She looked over at me and said, "What if they had to shoot it down?" I thought about this and realized it fits exactly into what I think most likely has happened.

If this was a malfunctioning Autopilot computer with bad software that took this plane up to 45,000 feet without anyone noticing, then if the plane decompressed the pilots wouldn't have had time to radio before they passed out. However, then the shutoff of the power on the transponder is in keeping with trying to shut the autopilot off when they couldn't by shutting off the power to the autopilot like a previous flight had to on a 777 from Malaysian Air lines before them ( I don't know if the previous pilots shut off power to accomplish this or not)Anyway the previous 777 from Malaysian Air lines almost crashed before they were able to disconnect the autopilot.

So, if this is what happened and the cockpit or whole fuselage decompressed either explosively or slowly, the pilots would have soon been unconscious. But, if they succeed in turning the power off and then turning it back on before they both passed out on a heading back towards Malaysia, then this makes a lot more sense.

Then, if the pilots were unconscious whether the passengers and crew were unconscious or not it wouldn't matter because no one could get back into the cockpit to take control of the plane and the plane would keep going at whatever heading the autopilot was set for until it either crashed or was shot down when no one answered the radio. If this is what happened none of the countries searching for the plane would ever want this known publicly because each country likely would have done the same thing to a plane that didn't answer it's radio that was off course and heading for their country because this is what is now done all over the world since 9-11. But, it would never publicly be known.

This is why no wreckage would be found even if they left black boxes to be found because this couldn't ever be publicly known even if all nations knew about what actually happened. So, this makes the most sense of anything I've heard so far.
