As I drove south from Mt. Shasta it got warmer in Redding so I took off my wool shirt (a Pendleton). I got used to wearing Pendletons when I was a surfer in 1963 when I was 15 in the Los Angeles area. Then the Surfer dress was Levi jeans (high water pants) white socks, tennis shoes, a white T-shirt and a Pendleton for after surfing or for parties. This was 1963. I even wore this outfit into Hollywood when I went to the "5th Estate" a Beatnik hang out that didn't serve liquor so I could go there legally when I was only 15 with my friend who was 16 and owned his own street racer, a 1956 Chevy with racing slicks and a highly modified engine with a Hurst Shifter for street racing.
So, in Redding I took off my Pendleton and went down to a Lava Blue T-shirt my wife bought me in Hawaii in March when we were there with 2 of our kids and one of my daughter's boyfriends.
The weather was great all the way back with 72 degrees Fahrenheit to 88 degrees Fahrenheit all the way back to the San Francisco area. Today as I'm waking up it is going to be sunny here too even though it was a little cooler and we finally shut our screened windows for one of the first times this summer which is really unusual for where I live compared to most years. This summer here on the coast it has never gotten above 78 degrees but also the nights don't get below 60 degrees Fahrenheit either. So, the nights being this warm is very unusual this summer. Normally, it gets much colder than that and we get temperature at least 90 or 85 at least once each summer. So, like I said this year has been a completely anomaly.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
