Also, a good point to think about for a moment is that many PS3's manufactured by a certain day have been known when joined together (which they were capable of until Sony stopped manufacturing them this way) of working in sync to create the fastest computer system on earth.
I think the record was 10,000 of these things were joined online to create the fastest supercomputer on earth. But, because of the misuse of the 77 million play station accounts they had to change the way they configured these PS3s so they couldn't be synched online and run together by hackers to do almost anything.
One of my thoughts is that the present hacking group might be seeking revenge for taking away their supercomputer by robbing users around the world by linking their systems online when the users didn't notice and doing almost anything with that computing power.
If this is true then the hackers taking down Sony may or may not be connected to Sony or North Korea.
