My wife put an old fashioned wooden spin top as one of the gifts in my Christmas stocking we hung on the mantle of our fireplace and I had set it aside intending at some point to open the plastic box up and try it. So, as I was looking for something yesterday I found it. There was no easy way to open the plastic container so I just got out a small lock blade knife and opened it. Then I tried to throw it and failed.
I realized I must be wrapping it wrong so I looked it up online and this kid here seems to have it down. I'm not sure I ever mastered the spin top as a kid. However, I was gangbusters with a yo-yo and did lots of tricks. I was also good with a:
