I think the philosophy behind this likely would be: "It is better a nation has no government at all rather than have it form an army that we have to mobilize to fight some day."
This likely would be the reasoning behind increasing use of drones with hellfire missiles, machine guns, hand grenade, RPGs etc.
But, if you ever saw the movie with Tom Cruise called "Oblivion" it isn't hard to imagine what advanced drones could do to completely depopulate the earth of "undesirables".
So, I'm thinking except for the really big powers now, no new competitors that will try to physically fight with their armies with the bigger powers will be allowed to exist more and more.
One of the reasons for this is the bigger nations people will not permit the loss of life on TV of their soldiers like they might have in the past. So, more and more robots on the ground and in the air are going to be killing people considered to be enemies of the major nations and civilizations on earth ongoing. This appears to be the case from now on.
And as larger animals tend to go extinct one by one from poor people who become poachers they are being replaced by flying, land and water robots that have been militarized which eventually, more than now will eliminate larger and larger segments of the human race.
Since this appears to be the case I think everyone on earth should think long and hard about this because almost anyone on earth could be next at this point as to people that could be eliminated by some kind of flying or other drone at any time now or into the future.
Will the whole human race eventually be driven extinct by drones of one sort or another like in the Terminator series? Maybe. It's up to each of us what actually happens.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
