The problem the parliament of England is addressing is preventing hereditary diseases by having three people involved in any birth as an option. So, for example, if you have your DNA checked and see it is likely a hereditary disease will be passed on to any children you have one way to eliminate this is to get a donor egg from someone else, replace the core dna from that cell with the new mother's and then impregnate that egg with the sperm of the father. So, you have a three person baby of the donor egg from one woman, the dna mother and the dna father. British Parliament is debating about whether to make this legal in England right now.
It was just approved in the House of Commons and is yet to be approved in the House of Lords
