I was thinking how "Google Translate" and other translating software around the world have changed the world in various ways. When I was growing up there was a concept in Science fiction that could be called an "Infinite Translator" so people could understand each other as they traveled to new worlds.
However, I think it is very helpful that we are already on the road to infinite translators here on earth now.
However, if you speak more than one language and run that language through it and then read it in English you will see that at best these translators are only about 70% to 80% accurate at best and many concepts and subtleties are lost. Let's just hope politically that people don't die over misunderstandings from robot translators like Google Translate and most people understand the limitations of converting concepts from one language to another robotically with software.
To the best of my ability I write about my experience of the Universe Past, Present and Future
