Education and Socialization

Public Schools have always failed abysmally at both these things. However, it is also true that Public schools are better than nothing (Unless you are dyslexic or other type of different learner) then public schools are worse than nothing.

So, I think under DeVoss this is finally going to be addressed by giving both students and parents the right to put their children into whatever school they think will cover their child's needs the best. Though Teacher's Unions aren't going to like this at all because it interferes with Union Teacher's tenures, I think the students will or might be better served this way. However, the teachers in Teacher's unions also will get screwed by this.

However, what are schools for? Are they actually for the tenure of Teachers or are they there actually to educate students properly?

At present public schools do NOT primarily exist to educate and socialize students.

So, the interests of the students long term need to be addressed or the tenure of Teachers is actually meaningless in this real context.

So, what I think is actually happening now is Charter Schools, independent Study and home schooling is going to be more and more common nationwide.

However, how do we address socialization of students from Kindergarten through College?

I think this is going to start to fall on parents and students more through time, more and more. This is the way things are presently going nationwide and worldwide in progressive nations everywhere.

My thought is that really good amazing teachers will teach thousands or hundreds of thousands of students over Television and it will be interactive where students from all over could ask questions that could be answered by Teacher's assistants live at the location of where the live teaching broadcast originates from.

So, Kindergarten through High School and College will become more similar when appropriate in a variety of ways. This can allow children to progress at whatever rate is appropriate to them along the way.

So, A students can move forward as fast as they want to and slow students can move at their own speed so no one is overwhelmed or bored or whatever. This allows people to move at whatever speed their interests or ability can take them.
