The reason for this is all you would need is one robotic creation that was created tank like enough that it might not be stopped and take everyone out in any given country.
Such an evolution could be set upon a good purpose but then decide it didn't like anyone in that country or area of earth and just end everyone there in that region. Or a dictator or drug lord could get a hold of a system and program it to eliminate specific people in any area. (like all men or all women or all children as a definer for elimination).
