Wildfires around California continue to grow: 'We have very active burn conditions'

Though it was hazy like fires were nearby driving up Interstate 5 last Sunday with my younger daughter, it has been very clear here in Mt. Shasta the last week. The only thing remarkable are 95 degree temperatures at 3500 feet altitude. But, if you go up to Bunny Flat it is around 80 or less when the temperature is at it's zenith so hiking is very good during the day now on the mountain. Also, Mountain climbers I met on the path to Horse Camp Sierra Club Lodge a route up the mountain, said the skiing was really good coming down after summiting too.
