This is very problematic because it is theoretically possible for North Korea to launch an ICBM from underwater from a submarine for example, from a location such as near Hawaii upon directly Honolulu or launching from underwater from 20 miles off the coast of Washington, Oregon, or California. So, there would be no preparation time before we were hit.
This is very problematic for South Korea, Japan, the U.S. and our Hawaiian Islands as time goes on.
One of the problems North KOrea is having is starvation because during the last year except for the last month or so there has been no rain to speak of at all in North Korea or South Korea. South Korea as a wealthy nation can buy food from other countries when they have no crops that can be grown. But, in North KOrea the majority of people just starve and that's all.
This is why there are ONLY 25 million people in North Korea and 51 million people in South Korea because of periodically millions of people might starve in any given year in North Korea if rains don't come or weather is a problem.
CNN said they likely will be capable of a submarine launched ICBMs completely by 2018 so this is a real threat to the U.S., Japan and South Korea and indirectly it is a threat to China's world standing as well. Because if the U.S. is forced to retaliate China will see radiation drifting into china form North Korea's crater as well. And this will harm south Korea as well even though North Korea would no longer exist.
