And being elderly or infirm or both they likely cannot afford air conditioning or the heat knocks out their electricity or the grid goes down or something like this and they are soon gone.
It might be useful if you can to have electrical backup this year worldwide so you can at least keep your air conditioning going if your grid goes down where you live. The problem with Solar panels and Air conditioners is that Air conditioners take a lot of electricity. So, Solar panels likely won't be enough alone likely to keep your air conditioners going without a gasoline or diesel powered generator.
However, in many places now without an air conditioner many people won't stay alive or at least out of the hospital from heat prostration, especially places where heat and humidity become fatal to be out in.
