Understanding the nature of a soul

A Soul is not really like being in a physical body at all. It isn't time and space resident. It is being resident and Consciousness resident but not time and space resident. This is very different than how we perceive reality here on earth living in a human body.

So, as you meditate and contemplate your place in the Universe and the places of all beings in the universe you come to understand this better over time. This doesn't happen all at once just like you don't become a doctor or lawyer or nurse all at once either. It takes time to refine what you are doing here on earth to understand these things fully.

And just like talking about flying a plane isn't actually flying a plane or talking about driving a car or riding a motorcycle isn't really doing those things either, talking about a soul isn't experiencing all this for yourselves and knowing what to do with all this information in the context of whatever cultures or religions you might have grown up around and the people you have grown up around that might have all kinds of fears and ideas that might not be useful to you as a spiritual scientist in your own right at all.

So, learning to think and meditate and contemplate all this for yourselves as spiritual scientists throughout one or more lifetimes in the past, present or future or all will be very helpful in better understanding all this in your future in this life and others.

It's true that many souls choose when incarnated to forget all this stuff and others of us want to remember it all for our own evolutionary reasons as well. As we evolve in our understanding of all this we can better integrate all our lives that we might live in the past, present and future into one life here in the present. And as we do this in the times we live in now there may literally be no limit to how long any of us can live given the evolutions of modern day science and medicine and consciousness.
