Why Believing in God is useful to me

First of all my parents were mystical Christian ministers in Charge of a church, "The 'I AM' Sanctuary in Los Angeles from the time I was 6 to 12 years of age. Then my mother's father died and she had a nervous breakdown because he had been so difficult before his death nearby. So, my parents stopped being the head Ministers in Charge of the church and gave it to another lady who stayed in charge of the church until she was 106 years of age recently.

So, in order first of all to not think of my parents as crazy (which I did for awhile when I was 9 or 10 when I was moving away from both God and religion then into being more of a scientist), then I started to have Blunt Trauma caused Childhood epilepsy caused by a blow to the head. At this point (if you have ever had a seizure before it is just like being murdered each time). So, believing in God was necessary to survive the next 5 years of my life until my cranium grew enough to relieve the pressure on my brain from the blow to the head that I likely received around age 9. But, this wasn't a completely bad thing (God saw to this) because it also kept me from being drafted into the army too.

So, I didn't have to die, or go crazy on PTSD and wander the streets talking to myself like thousands of other guys my age still do at age 70 or so that have survived so far. So, God had other better plans for me other than dying in a war that still doesn't make sense to me or to them.

This is why I believe in God because otherwise I would have died between ages 10 and 15 otherwise without that belief.

When you have nowhere to turn (that is useful) medically (which is what most people have been dealing with for 100,000 or more years, if you don't believe in God you are just dead and that's all she wrote.

By God's Grace
