Will the Impeachment destroy the Senate the way it has the House?

That remains to be seen. Either way, the House is now like Two different planets speaking two altogether different languages possibly to never agree on anything ever again (at least at this point).

The real problem with this is that Democracy (even in a Republic) like the U.S. is, cannot function effectively without compromise. So, basically without some compromise our democracy (at least for now in the House) is over for the present.

This might also happen to the Senate because of the way Trump's Lawyers presently are running the Senate Impeachment through O'Connell of Kentucky. However, he also has to get re-elected in 2020 and if he thinks he won't get re-elected likely he might change his behavior too.
