There are at least 2 choices we make that allow us to benefit from the Grace of God:
They are:
1. Choosing to stay alive so we can live in God's Grace
This choice is universal for all people.
The 2nd choice might be:
Right livelihood
Right spouse
Right Actions
or any of a number of things that put you in God's Grace
However, if you don't choose to be alive to benefit from the Grace of God then how can you live in God's Grace?
The ONLY thing that helped me in the end from 18 to 25 years of age was self discipline.
I realized if I took my own life (by any means including war) that I had failed not only my parents but also God. I didn't want to destroy my parents life by taking my own life so I stayed alive to honor them. By doing this I also honored God.
So, by the time I was in my 30s I was very happy from about age 32 to age 37 and home schooling my children on 2 1/2 acres of land that my wife and I bought and I built an A-Frame house for us all to live in. So, from 1980 until 1985 I was very happy until my father passed away. Then I wasn't really happy until I was 50 and I had almost died and was forced to retire. Then I felt like I lived in God's Grace ever since. And now I have lived in God's Grace for 22 years straight which is a very peaceful place to be.
But, this all starts with choosing to stay alive in your teens and 20s. IF you don't choose to stay alive for God after all the trouble he and your parents went through to raise you then "How can you live in God's Grace?"
The first step is ALWAYS choosing to stay alive in your teens and 20s so you open the door for God to allow you to live by his Grace Alone!
