Especially now that we have lost almost more people than we lost soldiers in world war II by a factor of 2 it might be useful to all of us to take stock and be grateful for each new day of life we still get to live.
If you are not one of the people who lost a relative be grateful. If you are not someone who lost a good friend like my wife and I did. If you are still alive be grateful for life itself.
I am doubly grateful because I would also be dead now without having gotten a pacemaker put in last June. It was a little unnerving to actually be in ANY Hospital anywhere last June as you can imagine but somehow the nurses and doctors took good care of me and got me out of there within 24 hours time which was great. And then I couldn't take a shower or get into my hot tub until the incision between my clavicle and left rib cage healed for a while but at this point I'm grateful for life for that too.
"Gratitude is the motor of life."
If we can be grateful for life itself it is likely that we can live longer happier lives along the way too.
So, thinking about what you are grateful for will lengthen the lives you presently have to spend more time with your family and friends ongoing whether it is on the phone or Skype Face time or whatever along the way.
