This is a really great line from a psychologist in the movie "Sleepless in Seattle" who is commenting on what happens when people fall in love.
I personally don't agree with this but I do think it's really really funny to think of it that way.
I'm not someone who believes everything is just chemicals causing all interactions. I believe a soul is separate from a body to begin with so from my point of view a Soul interacts with a body but is not the body at all because a soul doesn't naturally live in time and space but can when residing in a body. But, it usually doesn't live in time and space unless inhabiting a human or other body somewhere in the Universe (not just here on earth).
